2018 'Barb's Block' Cabernet Sauvignon - 12 pack

This small batch of Barb's Block, Bool Lagoon Cabernet Sauvignon has benefited both from, its ideal growing location and from an outstanding vintage. To highlight the bright fruit notes, new and seasoned 300L French Oak 'Hogshead' barrels were used for 22 month maturation in a cool barrel store. The result is a medium to full bodied wine showing ripe, regional cabernet expression and fine, chalky tannins. 
 
Colour: Deep rich red with a dark core
Aroma: Classic Cabernet nose. Vibrant cassis liquer, red fruits, a hint of cedar
Palate: Silky fine tannins, dark chocolate, a touch of cabernet leafiness, lovely ripeness and generosity, a pretty and focussed flavour profile. 
Food Match: Bool Lagoon prime lamb, matured cheese and crusty bread
 
Cellaring: 10-20 years 
Alcohol: 14.5%
